How to Follow Jesus Through Transformation

There is a love that does not drive you -- it draws you. The Song of Solomon paints a picture of a King who pursues his beloved not with demands, but with delight. He calls her beautiful before she believes it herself. He waits for her. He speaks to her. And when she is ready, he says: "Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, and come along." (Song of Solomon 2:10)

What moves the heart of Jesus is not your performance -- it is your gaze. Like a dove whose eyes can focus completely on one thing, your undivided attention toward him stirs something in him that he himself describes in his word.

You are not defined by your flesh, your past, or what others say about you. You are his reward. Both eyes on him. That is where everything changes.

Truly, this is a most wondrous testimony of the tender mercies and unfathomable love of our Lord Jesus Christ, who looks upon His own with gracious favor and regards them as precious in His sight, for they are the beloved of His heart and the cherished possession of His hand.
