Our Story

Terry Smith, the founding pastor of Jubilee Christian Center, came to the Lord and began to follow him in the early 1970's during the Jesus Movement that swept through the United States. He immediately gave himself to evangelism, gathering young believers and teaching them. During the next 18 years he did evangelism events, help start and serve in local churches, and travel as a prophetic healing and deliverance minister. In 1988 the Lord led him to start a church in Clearfield, PA. We began as a house church, and were focused on worship, the presence of the Lord, the gifts of the Spirit, healing,  teaching and evangelism and outreach events. Over the years we grew and moved into different rented facilities.  

In 2000 Pastor Terry left his secular job to devote more time to ministry. We started a School of the Spirit where Terry taught on healing, deliverance, inner healing, hearing God's voice, dream interpretation and intimacy with Christ as seen in the Biblical book the Song of Songs.
We also are entered into relationship with apostolic and prophetic ministries that helped to release greater wisdom, revelation of His word, and the power of the Spirit.
During a time of leadership prayer, the Lord clearly spoke to us, "You are a church of the Presence."

We are an equipping church, and we are engaged in ways to more effectively raise up believers and families in Jesus who know how to hear his voice and obey him, and how to function as the Body of Christ to serve each other and reach out in power and love to the world around us.
